Print-proof design — a Spécialités T.A. service

We design your print proof

You have no communications agency, no designer, and no time to spare. Hand us your project: our designers, helped by a design tool we built in-house for bottle screen printing, put several complete artworks in front of you. We develop them with you until the final design is ready to print.

How we work

Real design work, not an automatic wrapper

Three things separate an image generated by an AI from the design we create for you: a tool cut to our own constraints, a hand that links the idea, the image and what production actually allows, and a workshop that knows its machines and its trade.

Six complete designs proposed for the same bottle, all drawn to the size of the printed area

A tool built in-house

We developed it ourselves, in-house, around our own workshop’s specification: the printing area, the overlap at the back of the bottle, the screen-printing inks, the flat colours with no gradient… This is not a general-purpose AI image generator. Everything we put forward can actually be made.

Designers who decide

A general-purpose AI explores fast and in quantity; it knows neither what looks like you nor what our production demands. Our designers select, correct and redraw what needs it, then check every artwork — size, ink count, colour registration, legibility of the logo — before it reaches you.

Bottles on the screen-printing carousel at the Sissonne workshop

A house that prints what it draws

Your design is created by the very people who screen-print it, in Sissonne, in the Aisne, since 1947. What we show you, the workshop already knows how to produce: no pleasant surprise on screen followed by a nasty one in production.

How it goes

From brief to print proof, in four steps

The brief

Your logo, your colours, what the bottle has to carry and who it is for. A few lines are enough to start: we come back to you if anything still needs pinning down.

The artworks

Several complete designs, flat and on the bottle, with body, cap, collar and valve in the chosen colours. Genuinely different takes, not variants of one drawing — and every one of them is printable as it stands.

The adjustments

You say what you keep and what you set aside. We rework, combine and refine — as many times as it takes to reach the design you want. This is where it is really decided.

The print proof

The final design, checked for size, ink count and colour registration, is submitted to you for signature. Nothing goes into production without your written approval.

An example

One logo, several artworks

Three first-pass artworks, drawn from the client’s brief. Nothing in them is settled: everything can be changed and adapted — the colours of the design as much as those of the body, cap, collar and valve. It is a real back-and-forth, until it matches what you want as closely as possible.

What you receive

Three files, and they are yours

The design laid flat across the 230 × 85 mm printed area

The design flat

The artwork laid out across the 230 × 85 mm, at the exact size of the area, as a vector file.

The same design on the bottle, seen from the front and the side

The bottle preview

The design in place, front and side, with the four parts in your colours — enough to present the project to a committee or a partner.

The print-proof sheet: printing colours, quantity and signature box

The print proof

The production file, checked for size, ink count and overlap. It is the one you sign and the one we archive with your screens.

The service

A quoted service, before a line is drawn

Designing a decoration is a service in its own right, separate from making the bottles: it is charged for. The amount appears on your quote, sent before anything starts — so you know what you are committing to before the first line is drawn.

The number of artworks and the scope of the adjustments are agreed with you at the quote stage, according to what your project calls for.

And if your logo doesn’t lend itself to it?

It isn’t a refusal, it’s an adaptation

Screen printing lays down flat colours, one at a time, five at most. A gradient becomes a halftone, a sixth colour merges into its neighbour, a photograph is redrawn.

We tell you what was adapted and why, and you see it on the artwork before signing. A colour identical to the body doesn’t count as an ink: the bottle itself provides it.
